...We could go back to season 2. *sigh*

Back when B&B had great chemistry and sweet moments that weren't so forced.

When cases were strong and interesting.

When the dialogue was witty and Zack had floppy hair.

When nobody wanted the show to end.

When we had cool serial killers and a kick-butt Brennan (who somehow managed to be less socially awkward than she is now, while still remaining true to her character.)

When there were heartbreaking moments that brought up important themes.

When Hart wasn't such a maniacal lunatic.

& we all still had faith in Booth and Brennan's life together.

yikes no way. it's all about season one baby I'm re-watching it and I really do think it was my most favorite.

Yeah, season 1 was pretty amazing too, but season 2 is still my favorite.

Season 2 is still my favorite as well, but Season 5 ran a very close second.

ahhhh yesss... everytime i re watch those seasons i wish we could go back to somethig like that... of course it cant be that same, they have to 'grow' but it didnt seem so serious. it was natural. it was fun!

I was just thinking about this on my 13-hour flight home last night. They had in-flight entertainment and 2 episodes of Bones were on there. Aliens In A Spaceship and Judas On A Pole...2 of THE best overall, IMO. And I found myself wishing things were still that way in the sense that we had an over-arcing plot with Brennan's dad and past and also with the Gravedigger.

Of course things have to change, but the dynamic has shifted to where it really isn't the same show anymore. All in my most humble opinion, of course.

I know. I miss it a lot sometimes. I hate to say it, but season 5 just wasn't the same.

Agreed. Seasons 1-3 even. Now it's all about B&B. They have forced their "relationship" to the frontburner but aren't allowing it to cook. IMO put them together and give us the witty banter, the bickering, the awesome cases, and the kick ass characters that we love. I'd still miss Zack and his floppy hair, but I can live with that if we could get everything else.

Best line I've heard so far describing them- you hit the nail on the head.

If I could have just one or two of these back for next season I would be satisfied!

I wish for a Bones movie....oh think of the possibilities and things they could do that they can't on TV

Thanks, OP, for putting into words everything I've been thinking since halfway through season 4. It's a real shame because I didn't start watching until very late into season 3 (the last few episodes.) I wish I hadn't missed the seasons that I love the most when they first aired.

Amen to all of that, espcially to a Zack with floppy hair. (Well, at this point I'd like to have Zack back with or without his floppy hair.)
