A BONESISH NOVEL RECOMMENDATION

Post by aardvark508 on Mon Jul 05, 2010 2:28 am

I am not sure where to post this but I recently finished a novel titled Mating by Norman Rush. The lead character is a Bones like female forensic anthropologist doing thesis research in Africa and much of the plot humor and pathos comes from a B&B like duo. I suspect some of the fans who have found the recent direction of show disappointing may enjoy a writer who seems to be able to treat the subject of antropological self-absorption's humorous, if unintended, consequences with a deft hand. For those who would like to read a story about an accomplished and independent woman wrestling with the fear of falling in love without the intervention of brain tumors or panic flights to remote locations, I recommend An Accomplished Woman by Jude Morgan.

I'll keep it in mind! Thanks!

I highly recommend BONE WOMAN: Among the Dead in Rwanda, Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo by Clea Koff. It's non-fiction and really inspiring.
