Rizzoli & Isles

Post by crzy4bones on Tue Jul 13, 2010 7:48 am

Anyone going to watch? Hubby says it looks like a copycat of Bones, without the UST..and the forensic chick is girly. LOL! I've got it DVR'd...might as well give it a shot.

Watched it. I'm not a big fan of Angie Harmon. This didn't disuade me. I may watch it just because it's on after The Closer. I'm like you, will see after a couple of weeks.
Were's all the Boston accents. So far, no one talks like they are from Boston.

ROFL...it's a new show on TNT. Premiered last night. Female cop, female forensic anthropologist (who has a turtle for a pet...LOL!), and it appears that there will be UST..but it will come from which of the girls ends up with the hot Fed guy. LOL! Last night they thought they could draw straws for him...or show him their boobs and let him decide.

It did seem like they ripped off Bones....serial killer behind bars, but has an "apprentice", stun guns his victims....would that make him "Gravemogon"...or Gormodigger....

I know nothing about it being based on books...I've only seen commercials on TV for it....what books would they be based on?

I watched the beginning of it last night because I couldn't find the remote after The Closer. It was kinda boring me though so I turned it off. I did look it up though and it's based on books.

As for Boston accents, not everyone has them (I go to school up there and that's where I learned). The most hardcore of the accents come from the South End, where the majority there is a large Irish presence. Though from what I've seen/heard, many of the cops do have accents haha

I watched it and thought it was great! I've always loved both actresses and it certainly didn't hurt that Billy Burke (aka Charlie Swan from The Twilght Saga) was a guest star. I wish they'd sign him to be recurring cause I'd love to have him on here more!

They had great ratings last night...broke a cable record...didn't read the article, just seen the headlines. Did find one article comparing it to Bones. but in the sense of the UST of the lead characters, WHAT??? It also compared it to Cagney and Lacey in that sense also.

But...Agent Dean isn't even close to the HOTNESS of Agent Booth....IMO. LOL!

Yes, it is based on the books (which I've never read, so I couldn't tell you how close the plan to adhere to the original characters)

I watched it and really enjoyed it! Mainly caught my attention cause of Kate from NCIS being on it!(When they killed her I lost interest in NCIS, just wrong how they ended her.) My impression was a mix between Bones, Crossing Jordan, and Xena Warrior Princess. LOL I agree that having Billy Burke didn't hurt. There was definitely ust between the two main characters (which is why I compared it to Xena) but they'll never play on that. It's just a cute keep it on the down low type ust. I definitely will continue to watch this show for now.
