Well, we're going to spend a week visiting, and then I almost have G convinced that it's okay to leave the kids with my mother and we should go away just the two of us for a few days or more, and then back for another week. It will be fun, and frankly I'm looking forward to G ripping a few members of my family a new one. It's going to be interesting for by-standers. I hope not too much blood is spillled!

I'm watching Serenity...even though I never finished Firefly...

I don't know what that is. We watched so many movies this weekend... my arse is numb from the couch.

Firefly was a very short lived sci fi series by Joss Whedon, the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Serenity was a follow up movie. I'm confused so far, though, since it's been a long time since I watched Firefly, and I never finished the episodes...

I didn't like that show.....all this stuff in the future somehow never manages to keep me interested for more than a couple episodes

Is it worth checking out? We need something new to watch... I have never seen a single episode of Angel or Buffy, but two of my sisters sure loved it. How long was Firefly on the air?

My mother is the greatest mother in the world. She's about the only person I would even consider leaving them with for more than a few hours. I hope G agrees, it would be so nice to get away and rest...
