I just think she thinks the relationship is at the breaking point and, like, some of us, is concerned that B&B may have missed their moment.

Just as a P.S. I think it's about Brennan's journey to find love, but also Booth's. Booth has been looking for love since the begining, but his journey seems to be about finding true love, not his ideal of it that's in his head. There's been, IMO, a running theme with Booth having a "type" that he's always trying to make fit into his ideal - and it never works. It's like Brennan needs to that it's possible for sex to be "making love" while Booth needs to learn great sex doesn't HAVE to mean love.

I found it really interesting that David says everything is going to be okay, where as Emily says she doesn't know. I think it's possible that Emily means that she doesn't know how Brennan will feel after the SO leaves because she's realizing that she does have feelings for him, but she also wants him to be happy. Emily lives through Brennan. It's almost like she is her character. For me, it's really confusing to determine whether Emily and David are talking about themselves or their characters because they always use first person whenever they talk about what's going on between their characters, instead of third person.

I know this is crazy, but when I watch interviews, sometimes I kind of think that Booth and Brennan are real people because you can just tell that their whole dynamic, their chemistry comes from David and Emily. They are sooo much like their characters, but I think that's what makes this show soooo GREAT.

I agree. I see a lot of brennan and booth in david and emily when they interact. Hart has said before he gets his bickering scenes right from them. You probably just observe for awhile and then have tons to work with lol

Emily also said David likes to speak in metaphors and abstract ways (booth does that too sometimes!) and she likes to keep it simple and down to earth. I like BB mostly because on the surface they appear to be total opposites but when you dig down a little further, they really aren't. Both had rocky childhoods. Both used that as their motivation to pick a career path later in life. (booth is avenging the people he killed in the military and brennan is helping other find their parents/remains/whatever) They are both alpha's and both strong willed and opinionated. There are a lot of similarities with Emily/David too. Their relationship on and off screen (as friends and partners) always intrigued me because they probably SHOULD clash more. Like oil and water...but they don't.

Me too. I just kind of like it that David and Emily's relationship (as friends and partners) and chemistry off and on screen is very similar, but I think it's important for two actors whose characters fall in love, to have a good relationship off-screen.

I guess I also have a built-in prejudice: My mom's from NYC, my. Dad's from the Caribbean. They met while while my mom was doing some work down there. When she left to go back to NYC to start another job in a different country, my Dad FLEW UP AND WENT AFTER HER. They've been married 43 years. See my issue? To me, if the person's The One, a bit more effort is warranted .

Oh my goodness joybrennan, that is so so so true. My husband says that the first time we met, he knew I was the one. He just KNEW. He's from a different state. He moved states becasue he knew. (a decision he made, not me) and we are very happily married. I know Bones is fictional, based on fictional characters, but like you, I believe in making an honest to goodness effort.
