Didn't HH say that he has no interest in putting B&B together on the lasy day of the series? I quess if B&B do get together, it won't be the last day of the series, probably the 7th season finale or mid season 8 (because he says he only sees the series going for 8th seasons)

Soon. Probably before the end of this season.

This right here is why I thought that the season finale had been changed.

My thought exactly. Only I'm wondering if the original ending of the 100th wasn't changed as well. Suspect

DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE BRAIN SCAN. Talk a out creative license! The science is BACKWARDS. I've ranted on this before. The scan as presented would mean the opposite of what Sweets said. Rolling Eyes

I've always wondered if Fox had something to do with the direction of the show Suspect ...because in Harbingers and all the little hints from the season 4 finale indicated that B&B would end up together in the season 5 finale, but in the 100th, they did a complete 180 and started going in the opposite direction. To me, it seems like the 100th ending and the season finale wasn't planned at all. It was just a sloppy way to keep B&B apart...because Fox stepped in or Hart got cold feet or House decided to put House and Cuddy together first and Hart and David Shore really tried to avoid having similar endings because of last year like a_rangergirl2 said...But this is just pure speculation.

I blame the season finale on Hart being pre occupied with his other Pilot. I could tell by his tweets that Bones was not his top priority at that time. And it showed. You are right, that finale was just sloppy. Poorly written and poorly executed.
I think the thing that I'm so pissed about, and probably just about everyone else is the big build up from season to season..All the little hints through the years, then S4 it seemed everything was falling into place..Start S5 and it seemed to be full steam ahead. Then we get to the 100th and have the rug pulled out from under us. And how can we forget "The season finale is the payoff for the 100th" and "Give it til the end of the season" and "B&B's love will prevail" scratch NONE of which they followed through on.
I'm not sure blaming FOX is the right approach-at least not comparing it to House.
I know Bones and House had similar AU season finales, and I didn't watch House much this last season, and I'm biased...but aren't B&B MORE than what House and Cuddy are?? What I mean by that is-the B&B ship has been pretty much since the beginning, where Huddy--Eh-who really cares. B&B seems like a bigger audience "draw" than Huddy. And B&B were on that track all season where Huddy was not. So why would they stop B&B? and not only stop it, do a complete 360 and pull them as far apart as they can and drive a huge wedge (Hannah) between them to start the new season. It would make more sense to let this story play out since it was already headed that way and put off Huddy for another year. If this was FOX's doing, well then they are morons. It seems to me that Brennan was not the only one that freaked out at the possibility of B&B together Suspect

I thought originally that Hart always planned to end season 5 the way it did but after having watched those lame excuses for episodes from Bones on the Blue Line on, I've changed my mind. It is so obvious from the end of season 4 through the first 2/3's of season 5 that they are headed for some kind of commitment between B&B and then suddenly the whole show just ran off the rails.

I noticed particularly that in episodes like the Death of the Queen Bee and the rock and roll one that comments regarding B&B's relationship were just dropped into the dialogue without any reason or connection. When Booth suddenly says, 'We opened a door neither of us wants to walk through' which isn't true, obviously he wanted to, or he suddenly feels the need to show Sweets that his motel room doesn't connect to Brennan's, I just keep thinking, what the hell. It's as if they had scripts done and then dumped these stupid unconnected bits of dialogue and action in there to keep the now we're breaking up theme running.

I'd like to think one of the above were true. It certainly felt like that with the 100th.
