Well the ensemble got her an "A" from the fashion gurus..so who knows. Color is great..style of the dress is not.

I love the style of dress but the ruffles all over are a bit much. She is still stunning though - those eyes WOW! I like her hair up, very elegant. 2Tup

Did anyone read her interview? I forget where I read it. It popped up on my yahoo news thing and now it's gone so i can't even post a link. She just talked about picking out her dress and how she tried on a bunch....loved that one...and had to try on a bunch more to make sure. it was cute.

"Bones" star Emily Deschanel was one of many actress who wore purple on the red carpet at the Emmys, but her choice was especially striking: a floor-length, one-shouldered gown in a bold, deep purple with tiered ruffles from Max Azria Atelier.
"I just put it on and loved it. I love this colour, this particular shade of purple," Deschanel said. "It was just one of those things where you try on a couple dresses, and they're nice, but then you try this on and it's, 'This is the one.' ... And then, of course, you have to try on about 20 other ones just to make sure this is the one. And then ... you go with this one!"

That's the beauty of this site..we are all entitled to our own opinions and allowed to voice them without repercussion.

She is beautiful in that color and that cut....the ruffles are overkill and I personally think she is far more beautiful without the bangs.

Yeah... I'm with those who loved it. The color is absolutely gorgeous and I think the ruffles are fun! She has the body to pull it off and I think it just worked on her! (even though usually I'm more of a classic/simple style kinda girl ;-))
