Does Seeley Booth deserve Temperance Brennan?

I didn't start the poll - but I think the results speak for themselves. NEXT TOPIC!

It's ok to have a religious discussion and not have the same religious ideals, but when she goes out of her way in regards to others' religions...like when she make sure the cheating wife has as much of her husband's remains because their religion requires it, or when she's outraged because the 2 bodies in Woman in the Garden didn't have a proper religious burial...but makes fun of him and his religious beliefs all the time rather than just respecting his beliefs.

this has been one of my struggles...balancing the fact that she's supposed to love him, but treats him like crap...worse than anyone else she knows. And because she does treat everyone else better I can't rationalize it away by using the same old tired excuse of "being a genius" or her "social ineptness" and all that...

I guess it depends what things we remember and what we choose to forget. I Just watched Mummy in the Maze yesterday. The end scene where she's all dressed up? Booth asks how she knew he'd make good on her promise...She says because he's a good person and when that wasn't enough for him she says, "because you want to go to heaven." Seely says, "You don't believe in heaven, Bones." She then gives him the sweetest, loving look and says, "but you do." Booth absolutely melts at that and they do that eye sex thing. . Oh, that's the same episode where he yells at her and says she has to respect the law or they can't work together. She replies, I can't respect the law if it's wrong - but I can respect you." KeThe most recent moment is the Kennedy ep. Anyway we all think what we think and like what we like - makes the world an interesting place.

I have been watching Bones since the very beginning and have NEVER seen such OUTRAGE over a storyline as the one that has Booth getting a girlfriend. That is not only on this blog. They are all like that. Like a previous poster stated, B&B are not a committed couple and either one of them should date whomever they please.

Very true. Sometimes I wonder if people who hate one half of B&B (whichever half) watch nine-tenths of every episode with their eyes and ears closed. No wonder they miss the important aspects of the character development.

Do you know what I don't get it is how people can totally hate one of the characters and still support the B&B ship?! Wouldn't they think Brennan doesn't deserve Booth? And how can people even watch this show? They must keep their eyes and hears closed for nine tenths of each episode. They are both flawed characters and just like human beings, they make mistakes. Brennan isn't perfect, but Booth isn't perfect either. We can't have on with out the other. This whole show is about their journey TOGETHER.

Yes I am a little bit outraged, at TPTB. An SO storyline just seems like another (uninventive) way to keep B&B apart. If HH & Co are not ready to put B&B together, there are PLENTY of other (creative) ways to do that without spoiling the integrity of the characters. We have seen the wonderful things HH & Co can do, and they can most definately do better than this. This is strictly my opinion, and yes I know, this show doesn't belong to me, and I should just shut the hell up and watch because I am one out millions of fans, but an SO (for either Booth or Brennan) in season 6 does not go down well with ME personally.

@ RubyRuby Why shut the Hell up? You like all of us are entitled to your opinion. You are so right about the uninventive way to keep them apart. He has no other way to it. I have said this and will continue to believe that when Booth and his GF break up, that's when Brennan will get a new BF. Another stall tactic.

We don't even have anything to suggest that Brennan will get a BF, except for HH saying something about how Brennan's love life won't stand still (which could also be interpreted as Brennan's realizing her feelings for Booth)...so let's save our freak outs until we get more info.

It's so funny on this blog that everytime a post starts about Brennan and Booth and what side everyone should choose - it always gets heated.

That's the passion we all have for our show. We all have great ideas. Too bad we couldn't be the writers.... We'd show them how to put a couple who have obvious differences but so many similarities together in a loving relationship without ending the series - wouldn't we????!!!!!
I myself always veer towards Booth side, because as I agree with some of the posters feelings about Brennan's hurtful comments. But don't get me wrong I want them together.
It is the times like @joybrennan and others have listed - those little moments when Brennan says something so nice, and almost out of character, that it makes up for the bad. I want to be a little bug on her shoulder saying - you go girl, I knew you had it in you, show that emotion. It's just awful because we know a lot of times she doesn't have a clue that she's hurt someone's feelings.
I think it's hard at this point because of the number of years the show has been on TV. Alot of shows these days don't even make it this long. It's a milestone. We all also don't know how much involvement FOX has with the scripts and foremat of the show. Wish we knew more about that - I probably wouldn't condemn HH so many times then.

Oh well, my rant - I am looking forward to S6 - maybe it will shut up my damn complaining about the writing direction. From my mouth to HH's ear!!!!!!

I am getting the idea that what he meant by her love life not standing still is that she will fall in love with Booth, not a boyfriend. I think it will be the case of letting something go that she has decided she can't live without, not even just being a work partner. I am hoping this will come into play more with her case of solving her own death.

Me too...and SN already sort of admitted that she will "have a change of heart about Booth."

I think B&B would be awesome together, BUT the writers MUST STOP giving Emily asinine things to say. Brennan's character is awesome at times but then there are times I can't believe what I just heard. Things go well for awhile then out comes "I don't know what that means." [Only admins are allowed to see this image] Other viewers may like when she says that but for me it literally ruins the scene for me. A world renowned forensic anthropologist and best selling author that works as a liaison/consultant or whatever her role is, with the FBI shouldn't be as "ignorant" as she is at times. Some of it makes sense but most makes me [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
