Who knows computers and cell phones?

My monitor keeps going black. My tower is fine, it's just the monitor. I don't know what to do or anything. Do I need to buy a new one or could there be something wrong with the cable? How can I find out for sure? And I got a new nokia e73 and for some reason, I can't post on some message boards. I can type, but it won't let me send. Anyone know what I might can try? thanks!

My old laptop kept doing that. In the end, it was because the fan had broken, and so every time I used it, it would overheat quickly and shutdown to prevent damage.

My old desktop used to do that. It ended up being the cord that ran from the monitor to the CPU that wasn't working!

My monitor started doing that and then eventually died completely Sad

Like India said, it might be the cord so i'd start by trying that. Maybe update/reinstall the driver for the monitor as well?
