My Final Vent

A final vent...

To those pieces of shit, (and you know who you are), who contributed to the destruction of this board...SHAME ON YOU.

From the beginning, this forum wasn't just a place to come and discuss Bones. It was a home...somewhere you could go and just talk about anything. Somewhere that, when you were feeling down, you could come to and feel better. Somewhere you could come and find someone willing to listen to your problems, and help you through. And through it all, we became friends. No, we became a family. I know that when the numbers grew, and we didn't know everyone anymore, it became harder to hold on to that. But for some of us, we did.

And then, the show started to take a different direction. We each had different opinions, but we could discuss it like adults, and it never divided us. But...then it happened. You came into our home, and you filled it with your childishness, your pettiness, and your hate. You took a great thing, and turned it into something awful, something we couldn't even bear to visit some days. In some ways, it's like you tore our family apart.

I don't expect you to feel bad...if you had any conscience at all, you would have never done what you did. However, I hope that somewhere down the line, you will feel what all the loyal members are feeling right now. I'm not ashamed to say that it hurts. That I've shed tears over the loss of this wonderful forum. I have made friends here that have helped me through some of my most difficult times, and that I have helped through some of their own. And it saddens me to see this end...even though I know that those friendships will endure. But more than sadness, I'm angry. No, I'm pissed. I'm not naïve enough to think that it would have never come to an end, but it should never have come to this.

However, to the loyal members who made this board the wonderful home that it was, we are not going to let you beat us. You may have succeeded in closing this place down, but you can never take away our memories and our friendships. You have not won. We are going, but we're leaving in style! We are going to party; laugh, cry, reminisce...and when all is said and done, we'll be even closer for it.

So just remember, as you go on to ruin some other forum...we won.

Well said. But Lindsey's right. The ABY isn't what it was anymore and over the last few months I came here to read, but didn't stay to write like I did before...
On the one hand it's sad because of what I remember the ABY as... it was really fun to spend so much time here and really have some kind of family here, but on the other hand it wasn't a home anymore in the end.
I'll miss you. (Especially those of you who were already members at the 'old' ABY)...
And thanks to Lindsay who made this possible... and who made the right choice...
