hey everyone thanks for the great reviews i'm in first hour classes at school so i can only post a little snippet of a chapter--- hopefully this will hold back the llamas and stale easter candy Razz

Booth dropped Brennan off at the lab before taking Parker home.

"Hey Sweetie." Angela greeted, "There's someone in your office."

"Who?"

"Sam Kingston." Angela called over her shoulder. "She said she had something to tell you." Brennan walked into her office to find Sam sitting on the couch.

"Tempe!" Sam said jumping up. "I know how you can catch my parents admitting to what they did." she said.

"How?" Brennan asked.

"Well, I went home, told my parents they were right, I was wrong blah blah blah, and they told me that there was a meeting tonight and that they want me to come. If they didn't kill him, someone in that meeting tonight will have. "

"Let me call Agent Booth." Brennan said taking out her cell phone.

"Ok, just let me know by 5 o'clock." Sam said. "Here's my mobile number." she said writing it down. Brennan called Booth but got the voice mail. As she was leaving a message, she heard shouts coming from the lab.

"Get out of my way!" Came a man's voice. "Where's Dr. Brennan?!" Brennan leapt out of her chair and ran into the lab. She saw Cam march up to the man.

"Look sir," she said, "you can't just barge in here and----" The man slapped her across the face, causing her to fall to the ground.

"I don't talk to niggers." he spat. Fuming, Brennan walked up to the man and punched him in the face. There was a sickening crack as his nose broke. The man held his bleeding nose, and looked at Brennan.

"You must be Mr. Kingston." she said, narrowing her eyes.

hit the little button! c'mon you know which one it is- the blue-ish purple-ish- kinda periwinkle button--- just click it!!!!!

hello everyone! here's the next part of the chapter-- and hopefully another new chapter will be up over the weekend...no promises though b/c i currently have the stomach flu making it a little hard to type...

oh- and Caroline is a lawyer who's worked with Booth and Brennan in eye twitch i think it was man in the morgue and man in the mansion... dont hold me to that if im wrong though haha

and yes i know that it's weird that im writing the klan in DC but hey- creative liscene---it is fiction after all...

Disclaimer: have i ever really put one of these up??

"Who the hell are you?!" the man spat.

"Dr. Brennan." She answered, "And if you so much as look at Dr. Saroyan again you will leave here with more than a broken nose." The man stepped back a little.

"I just came to warn you not to talk to my daughter anymore." He said.

"Her boyfriend has just been murdered." Brennan said. "She's vital to the case."

"All that nigger wanted to do was fuck her." Mr. Kingston said.

"That's not true!" Came a voice. There stood Sam by the Jeffersonian doors, arms crossed over her chest. "He LOVED me." She said.

"Get back in the car now!" Mr. Kingston shouted at her. "We'll deal with you later!" The way he said it sent shivers down Brennan's spine. She knew something bad was going to happen. A boy a few inches taller than Sam burst through the door and grabbed her.

"Put me down!" she shouted. "Josh! Now!" she screamed as she was forced out of the building. Mr. Kingston turned back to Brennan.

"Keep away from her." he hissed. Turning around he left the building. Everyone stared wide eyed. They seemed to be glued to their places. The Squints watched from platform as Brennan bent over and helped Cam of the floor.

"I have never been this scared in my life." Cam whispered. Brennan sighed.

"Someone get an ice pack!" she ordered noticing the side of Cam's face starting to swell. Hodgins jumped off the platform and made his way to the break room. "Angela, go call Booth." Angela headed for Brennan's office. Hodgins came back with an ice pack, but everything was still deathly silent. No one dared move.

"Dr. Bones!" Came a shout. Brennan turned to see Parker running towards her. Booth followed not far behind.

"Parker!" Brennan said scooping the boy up in her arms. "Angela! Never mind!" Brennan shouted. Booth looked around and noticed everyone's expressions, and Cam's swollen face.

"What happened here?" he practically shouted.

"Just your friendly neighborhood klan visit." Hodgins said. Brennan shot him a look, Parker didn't need to hear this.

"Hey! Parker!" Tobie called. "me and Zack are going to McDonald's for lunch, you wanna come?"

"Ya!" Parker shouted squirming out of Brennan's arms. He ran up and grabbed Tobie by the hand, and the trio headed out the doors.

"Mr. Kingston came in." Brennan said. "Told me to stop talking to Sam and then smacked Cam around." Booth looked from Cam to Brennan. Sighing, he dialed Cullen.

"Cam, until this case is solved, you're going to have someone with you 24/7. Others will keep tabs on everyone else." He said, waiting for Cullen to pick up.

"Booth that's not necessary." Brennan said. "I don't think anything else will happen."

"I'm not taking the chance," Booth said, "No one messes with my squints." he said trying to lighten the mood.

special character appearance in the next chap--- see if you can guess who...

The squints and Booth had gathered in Brennan's office. Cam was still holding the ice pack to here eye, and pacing the length of the room.
"Cam," Angela started, "Why don't you sit down? You're going to wear a whole in the floor."
"I can't help it!" Cam said, the panick in her voice apparent. "What the h3ll is the klan doing in DC anyway?!"
"Well, it's a pretty new chapter." Hodgins said. "They only have something like 20 members right now." Everyone turned and looked at him. "What?!" he said. "After kingston came in here I decided to do a little research." he said shrugging. Booth rolled his eyes.
"Of course you would be able to find that out." he said. Hodgins just shrugged again.
"Well, I don't care how many of them are here! They're still here!" Cam said, pacing the room again.
"Cam, you're going to wear a whole in the floor." came Tobie's voice. Everyone turned to see Tobie, Zack, and Parker standing in the doorway.
"Hey Bub." Booth said picking his son up. "How was McDonalds?" he asked.
"It was so much fun!" Parker said happily. "Tobie went on the playground with me!" he said.
"Really?" Booth said arching an eyebrow. Parker nodded. "Yeah, she said she was short enough to pull it off. All the people were laughing though cuz she got stuck!" Everyone in the room started cracking up.
"Yeah, yeah, go on laugh it up." Tobie said plopping down on the couch next to Angela.
"I warned you." Zack said joining them.
"Oh shut up." Tobie said in mock annoyance. "Lesson learned, won't be doing it again." she said.
"Why did you do it in the first place?" Hodgins asked, still laughing.
"I wanted to see if I could." she said shrugging.
"How did you get out?" Angela asked.
"Parker pushed me from behind and since it was at the beginning/end of one of the tubes, Zack pulled me from in front." she said sheepishly. Parker was giggling.
"Hey! Dr. Bones has a cool chair!" he said jumping out of Booth's arms.
"A cool chair?" Brennan asked.
"Yeah! A cool spinning chair!" Parker said climbing up into her lap. "Can we spin it?" he asked. The group looked in amusement at the little boy.
"Sure why not." Brennan said. Tucking her feet underneath her, she told Parker to push. The chair went around and around and around, making everyone watching dizzy. When it stopped both Parker and Brennan were laughing. Parker pushed off the desk, and sent them spinning again. This time everyone laughed. A cough from the doorway brought them back to reality. Everyone turned and saw...
"Sully?" Brennan said.

mwhahahaha- short i know but that seemed like the perfect spot to leave it! and the mcdonalds story is a true one sadly...

hey look! a new chapter! a dark...new...chapter...well, not that dark really, i dont think...

“No answer?” Sully asked from his point on the platform.

“Nope.” Hodgins and Zack chorused together. Tobie shrugged.

“Hell, I don’t even know what’s going on.” She said. Angela and Booth were still comforting Brennan, who was doing her best not to break down. Suddenly, the alarms went off. Everyone turned to see Parker, terror-stricken on the steps.

“I DIDN’T MEAN TO!” he shouted. The alarms were disabled and Booth and Brennan went over to Parker, while the squints haphazardly covered the charred body. “Dr. Bones, are you crying?” he asked innocently. Brennan scooped the little boy up.

“Only a little.” She said softly. He wrapped his arms around her neck, and gave her a little kiss on the cheek.

“Better?” he asked. Brennan laughed a little.

“Much.” She said smiling. Parker flashed her the Booth Charm Smile.

“Good!” he said cheerfully. No one could help but laugh at the little boy; well, nobody but Sully, who glared at Booth. Booth’s cell rang.

“Booth.” He answered. “Yes, right away, alright…ok…bye.” He looked over at Sully. “Go time.” He said turning back to Parker and Brennan. He kissed Parker on the head.

“Be good for Dr. Bones ok?”

“Ok Daddy.” Parker said. Booth wrapped an arm around Brennan.

“You gonna be ok?” he asked. She nodded, causing her stray bits of hair to fly every which way. Booth gently brushed a strand aside, before kissing her sweetly. “I’ll see you later,” he said walking down the platform steps. Sully followed, sending daggers at Booth. Brennan sighed a little before turning to the squints.

“Zack, fill Tobie in on ‘Columbus’.” She said.

“Everything?” he asked.

“Everything.” She said. “I think Parker’s going to sleep on my couch for a while.” Parker nodded sleepily. The group watched the two walk down the hallway.

“I never thought I would see the day when Temperance Brennan became the motherly type.” Cam said shaking her head.

“What’s ‘Columbus’?” Tobie asked.

“Not what,” Hodgins said uncovering the body. “Who.”

“Ok, who’s Columbus?”

“Well, his name’s Max Keenan.” Zack said. “He murders his victims and then sticks them on a pole, crucifixion style. Then he puts a Columbus quarter in their mouth and sets them on fire. For some, he waits till their pretty much charred beyond recognition and hangs and ID around their necks, like he did with Kingston here.”

“Well, what would his motive have been for killing Kingston?” Tobie asked.

“Protecting his daughter.” Angela said sadly. Tobie replayed that afternoons events in her mind. Realization dawned on her.

“Dr. Brennan?” she asked in awe. Everyone nodded.

“Damn.” She said quietly. “Must be hard for her.” Everyone nodded again. “Ok! So, what’s the deal with this Sully guy then?” she asked. Everyone rolled their eyes.

“Don’t go there…” Hodgins warned quietly. But it was too late, Angela took the bait.

“Ok kid, here’s what happened,” Angela started, a mischievous grin appearing on her face.

Booth and Sully had been given their assignments and were now waiting, parked in front of the building where the meeting was to take place. Sully couldn’t take it any longer.

“So, you and Tempe?”

“Yup.” Booth said grinning. “Me and Tempe.”

“So, how long did you wait before going in?” Sully asked callously.

“What?!” Booth asked.

“How long after I left did you wait?” Sully asked slowly. “Or did you just move in the first chance you got?” he snapped, his voice laced with malice.

“You need to cool off there.” Booth said shaking his head.

“You still didn’t answer my question.” Sully snapped.

“Well what the hell kind of question is that anyway?” Booth snapped back. “You left!”

“But I was coming back!”

“Did Bones know that?” Booth asked. Sully looked away.

“I…don’t really…know.” Sully said.

“Well, next time, think before you blow steam like that.” Booth said shaking his head. “She’s had enough people run out on her, you didn’t help any.” He snapped. Sully hung his head. “Now, shut up!” Booth hissed. “Here they come.” Sully looked up. A group of 20 people walked towards the building, Sam, her brother, and her mother leading the group. Booth and Sully got out of the car. The group stopped.

“Hi.” Booth said, flashing them his charm smile. “We’re here for the church service?” he said. Mrs. Kingston smiled wickedly.

“Ah yes.” She said, drawing her words out. “We’re always happy to welcome new parishioners.” Booth felt cold zaps of electricity down his spine as this woman spoke. “I believe you two know my daughter, Sam.” She said gesturing to her daughter. Booth and Sully nodded. “Well then, let’s get started.” She said pulling a key out of her pocket, she unlocked the building door.

“NO WAY!” Tobie said, trying her hardest not to squee.

“Dead serious.” Angela said.

“She turned down a sabbatical to the Caribbean, with a guy who’s FBI nik is ‘peanut’, for Booth?!” Angela nodded. “Those two are freakin’ made for each other!” Tobie squealed. Angela nodded again. Cam shook her head.

“You two are worse than a couple of 13 year old girls.” She said. “Is Sully’s nickname really ‘peanut’?” she asked Angela.

From their spot on the platform, Hodgins and Zack watched the two jump around laughing. Hodgins rolled his eyes and turned to Zack.

“Women.” He said exasperatedly. Zack nodded. There was a clatter down the hall.

“Hello?” Hodgins called out. No one responded. He shrugged.

Brennan sat at her desk, typing away at her computer. She paused and looked over at the little boy, asleep on her couch. She smiled softly and grabbed a spare blanket she kept in her office for emergencies. Walking over, she gently covered the sleeping boy up, brushing the hair out of his face.

“It’s wonderful isn’t it?” Came a voice. Brennan turned around. “They’re never as sweet as they are when they’re sleeping.” The voice said again. He laughed. “You were a spit fire when you were younger. I take it, that’s Booth’s son?”

“What are you doing here?!” Brennan hissed.

“I told you, there’s something your mother wanted you to know.”

Booth and Sully were ushered into a dark room, with blood red carpeting. They were now wearing white robes over their suits. The group had assembled around a circular podium where Mrs. Kingston and her children stood.

“We’re gathered here tonight to right a terrible sin. Unfortunately, my husband is still on business, so I will be conducting tonight’s ceremonies. ” She began sweetly. Sam beamed, she was being accepted back into her family, it may have only been a ploy to get the FBI in there, but it still felt good. “As you all know, my daughter fell pray to a fucking nigger this year. And as you all know, my husband and I couldn’t let that happen. With the help of our loving son, we were able to finish that piece of trash off.” The group cheered, and Booth and Sully half heartedly applauded.

“Got it.” Came a voice inside Booth’s ear. He and Sully were both wearing earpieces that connected them to the squad waiting outside. “Don’t do anything yet, still waiting on orders.” The voice said again.

“However,” Mrs. Kingston continued. “That sin is unforgivable.” Her voice turned to stone. “Which is why,” she said gesturing to her son, who grabbed Sam, “Samantha must pay.” She hissed. Pulling a knife out of her robe, she held it to Sam’s throat. Sam whimpered, her eyes wide with terror.

Brennan looked at her father, standing in the doorway. Booth’s words were still in her head. It was nearly a month ago, but she still remembered he had said if it were him, he would see what her father had to say.

“What did she want me to know?” Brennan asked.

“Look, we can’t talk here, but ,” he paused as Parker stirred in his sleep a little. He smiled at the little boy. “Do you know where O’Brien’s Irish Pub is?” he asked. Brennan’s eyes widened. That’s where they had been not even a week ago.

“Yeah,” she said hesitantly.

“Well, meet me there tomorrow night at 5. Bring the squints and Booth along. Even the kid can come.” He said. “The place doesn’t get it’s crowd until around 7 so, it should be relatively ok.”

“Why there?” Brennan asked.

“Because, there’s someone you need to meet.” He said. He walked up to her, and wrapped his arms around her. Much to the surprise of both Brennan and Max, she returned the gesture. Parker stirred a little more, and one eye popped open.

“Daddy?” he asked.

“No Parker, she said quietly, pulling the blanket up around him, “This is my daddy.” She said, tears rolling down her face.

“Mkay,” he mumbled before drifting back off to sleep. Brennan wiped the tears from her eyes and turned around. Her father had vanished.

“We gotta do something.” Booth hissed to Sully. If they didn’t do something soon, Sam would have her throat cut. Sully nodded.

“We’re coming in.” A voice from the ear piece said. Booth nodded at Sully.

“FBI!” They both shouted, pulling out their guns. “Drop the knife!” Booth demanded, pointing his gun at Mrs. Kingston. The group behind them attempted to run out the door, but the SWAT team outside had blocked them off. Mrs. Kingston grinned wickedly.

“Alright Agent.” She said sweetly. Lowering the knife, she brought it to her stomach, and thrust it in. Blood poured everywhere, blending in with the carpet beneath them. “I’m not sorry for what I did. That son of a bitch deserved to die!” she couldn’t say more as the blood began pouring out of her mouth.

“Damn it!” Sully said as they watched her lifeless body drop to the floor. Sam let out a scream, and her brother stood there, unsure of what to do. Sully pulled out his handcuffs and arrested the brother, while Booth ran up to Sam, who fell sobbing into his arms.

“Shhh,” he whispered trying to comfort her. “It’s over. It’s all over.” The SWAT team came in and started arresting the other members, who didn’t even put up a fight.

Brennan sat in her office, still unsure of what had just happened. It was like it had all happened in slow motion. O’Brien’s at 5 tomorrow night. What did her mother want her to know? And was it purely coincidence that they had been at the same bar not even a week ago? Had her father been watching them? Her ringing cell phone brought her back to reality.

“Hello?” she answered quietly.

“Hey Bones.” Came Booth’s voice, he sounded tired.

“Hey.” She said, instantly cheering up.

“Everything went fine, we should be back at the lab in 20 minutes.” Booth said. “Did Cam leave?” he asked.

“No, why?”

“Cullen wants Sully to play bodyguard until tomorrow, just to make sure.”

“Ok, I’ll tell her.”

“How’s Parker?”

“Asleep.” She answered softly. “He’s sleeping on the couch in my office.” She smiled.

Booth grinned, he could practically hear her smile. Sully slumped farther down into the passenger seat. He couldn’t believe this was happening. And he couldn’t let it happen either.

“Well, I’ll see you in 20.” He said. “Love you.”

“Love you too.” Brennan said, without hesitation. Grinning, she hung her phone up.

chapter 20: you're mother wanted you to know...

"Russ?"

"Hiya Tempe." he said grinning slightly. They both stood up and gave eachother a hug.

"Who's that she's hugging?" Sully asked, just waiting for Booth to get jealous and act all irrational.

"Her brother." everyone at the table answered- not taking their eyes off the group. Tobie came and sat down.

"Finally that's over. Hey what are we watching?" she asked scooting up to Zack.

"Shhhh---" everyone said waving her off.

Russ and Tempe sat back down at the table, and turned to Max.

"There is something your mother wanted you to know. I promised her the night...the night that she...she died I would tell you guys. I've watied so long because I wanted to make sure it was safe for everyone. People were still after us, and I couldn't risk anyone being hurt." Tempe scoffed. Max sighed. "Your mother and I had always kept this from you two- in retrospect it was really stupid of us to do- but we thought we were doing the right thing at the time. When you were younger- do you guys remember your mom going to take car of her dad?" They nodded.

"Mom said he was really sick and was gone for like 6 months." Russ said recalling that.

"I don't really remember that." Brennan said, her brow furrowing.

"You were like 4 or 5." Russ said.

"5." Their dad supplied. "Anyway- she didn't really go to take care of her dad, she went- she went to New York and stayed with a friend while she was pregnant."

"WHAT?!" Russ and Brennan shrieked. Max hung his head.

The group at the table heard the two shriek.

"Guess that was the news." Booth said quietly.

"Daddy- I'm hungry." Parker said. Kat walked over.

"Hey guys long time no see." she said cheerfully. Molly was attached to her leg. Booth laughed. "This your boy?" she asked looking at Parker. Booth nodded.

"Yup this is Parker."

"Hi Parker. I'm Kat."

"I'm hungry." he said innocently.

"Well, do yea like cheesburgers and fries?" Kat asked. Parker's eyes grew wide and he nodded.

"Ok- well, if 's ok wit your dad, you can come back inta tha kitchen wit me and Molly and I can make yea both up some burgers." Parker looked at Booth who nodded. He scrambled under the table and soon appeared beside Kat.

"I wonder what he's telling them..." Angela said. Kat looked at the group, her eyes clouding over. Tobie noticed this.

"Kat---" She said drawing the name out.

"Nuh-uh-" Kat said. "Ma lips are sealed."

"Give us a hint then!" Tobie begged. Kat seemed to debate with herself, and then sighed.

"Ok- basic'lly- 's life changin' news bout family." she said before leading the kids into the kitchen. The others turned back and watched the group.

"Mom- was pregnant?" Russ asked, awestruck. Max nodded.

"We knew people were watching us at the time, and neither of us watnted to bring another child into the life we were living- so she stayed with a friend and had the baby- then put it up for adoption after she was born."

"We-we have a sister?" Brennan asked. Max nodded again.

"We kept tabs on her- her name's Katherine, we kept tabs on her, but then her adopted dad got a work transfer 3 years later, and was relocated to Ireland." Something clicked in Brennan's mind. "We lost contact after that- but a few years ago- Katherine was doing research on who her real parents were, and I found her by sheer coinsidence- mircale actually. She knows about everything that has hapened- and she knows about you two."

"Wait, everything?" Russ asked.

"Everything." Max said nodding.

"Even the---" Max nodded again. "Oh sure tell her but forget to clue us in right?" he spat.

"Look- I wanted to tell you as soon as I could, but you-" he said turning to Brennan, "never gave me the time of day until a month ago."

"Well forgive me for not talking to you after you handcuffed me to a fvcking park bench and ran out on me a second time." she snapped.

The group heard her comment and winced.

"This is better than day time soaps," Cam said shifiting in her chair.

"But wait- her nickname wouldn't happen to be Kat would it?" Brennan asked turning to Max. He laughed a little.

"Guess you've figured it out then." Brennan looked towards the kitchen and saw Kat peeking her head out of the window- she ducked when Brennan saw her.

"i'm still lost." Russ said.

"Kat- the girl who owns the bar here, she's your sister."

dun dun dun... who guessed it?

Sunlight streamed through Booth's bedroom window and danced off the curtains and furniture splaying across Brennan's face. Slowly she popped an eye open. Booth lay beside her, arm wrapped protectively around her waist. She looked down at the small bundle between them and caught sight of blonde curls popping out of the blanket. She smiled softly and edged off the bed. The Booth Boys slept soundly. She rolled her eyes. Those two could sleep through the apocolypse.

Brennan wandered down the hall into the kitchen. Lazily flicking the lights on she slid across the tile floor and turned on the coffee maker. Sighing, she propped herself against the counter and hazily watched the coffee drip into the pot. Closing her eyes she recalled last nights events.

She, Russ, her dad, their new found sister Kat, her daughter Molly, Booth, and Parker had stayed up half the night watching these cartoon movies about mermaids turning into humans, a street boy who found a magic lamp, a princess who slept for nearly 20 years, a boy who never grew up, and another about hundereds of dalmations. Although the movies were for children, Brennan had enjoyed herself. Around 2 am, her father and Russ left, again, unsure of when they would be able to return. Shortly after, Brennan, Booth, and Parker left. Sighing, she opened her eyes when the coffee maker shut off. Grabbing a mug off the shelf she poured herself a cup. Brennan was about to take a sip when the doorbell rang. She begrudgingly set the cup down and walked over to the door. Swinging it open, she came face to face with Rebecca. Her detached anthropologist persona took over.

"What are you doing here?" She demanded in an icy tone. Rebecca looked up.

"I, uh, I thought about what Seeley said." Rebecca muttered. "This is doing more harm than good to Parker." Brennan opened the door a little wider and crossed her arms over her chest. "Parker would be devestated if he couldn't see him again, and well, Drew and I are moving to New York after we're married, so maybe it would be better for Parker to stay with Seeley." she finished. She pulled a manila envelope out of her bag. "If you could just have him sign these and return them to my lawyer's office." Brennan took the envelope. "Thank you Dr. Brennan." Rebecca said before walking off. Brennan stared dumbfound at the door as she closed it. Looking at the envelope again, she sighed and rested her head against the door.

After what seemed like an eternity, Brennan was snapped back into reality by Booth's arms being tightly wrapped around her.

"You ok?" He whispered in her ear. She let out a sigh of frustration and held the envelope up. Booth took it.

"From your dad and Russ?" he aske questioningly. She shook her head.

"You need to read it then sign it." Brennan said. Booth stared at the papers. He also let out a sigh, then laughed.

"Caroline is going to hate us." he said jokingly. Brennan couldn't help but chuckle. "I can't believe she's just giving up." He said sadly.

"You'd think she'd fight me tooth and nail for him." Brennan shook her head.

"Parents do weird things." She said. Booth's gripped tightened around her waist. She leaned into him, and for the first time she realized that this is where she truly felt at home.

Hello everyone! After much writing and deliberation I've decided to have this as the last chapter and write a sequel taking place a few months from when this takes place (march) enjoy the final chapter of Green Beer and Fluffernutter

Tobie sat with her back against the tub. Things had been great these past few days. An incredible job at one of the most prestigious places in DC with one of the worlds greatest Forensic Anthroplogists, a killer apartment, and the greatest boyfriend ever. When had it all gone wrong? 2 days ago...

Tobie discreetly walked into the drugstore early that morning. Lately, she had been feeling sick. Vomiting, upset stomachs, headaches. She thought it was the flu. Then, she missed her period. Now, she was freaking out. She loved Zack to death but if, what if, well what if? They'd only been dating for almost two weeks now- Reaching up, she grabed a EPT box off the top shelf. Looking up she figured she might as well grab another just in case, after all these things weren't always 100 accurate.
Later that night, she snuck into the bathroom around 11. Nervously she pulled the test out of the box and read the instructions. 20 minutes later she had taken the test 3 times, each time the results showed positive. She was 19- how the h3ll was this happening to her?! If anyone found out, she would probably lose her job, and her scholarship, and...she would lose Zack. Maybe- maybe she could get rid of it.
After a sleepless night, she realized she would never again be able to live with herself if she had an abortion, it wasn't the way to solve her little prediciment. She had everything planned out in her head. How she would tell Dr. Brennan, the squints, what she was going to say to Zack. Maybe she wouldn't lose everything after all. Then that stupid letter came, bringing with it all the memories of her brother. He was all she had had in life, and Iraq changed all that. All those painful memories of what had happened after he died, she couldn't take it.

Another wave of nasuea brought Tobie back to reality. Proping herself up on the backs of her feet, she leaned over the toilet and began praying to the porclin God again.

xXxXxXx

Zack bounded up the steps of the apartment. This litte voice in his head was telling him it was illogical to care about someone he'd been seeing for only 2 weeks. This other voice was beating the shit out of that one and screaming "it's because you love her moron!". Not really listening to either, he threw the door open in hopes that Tobie was there. Wretching noises coming from the spare bathroom caught his attention. Cautiously, he opened the bathroom door and saw Tobie slumped over the toilet, throwing up. Sighing she leaned back against the toilet and grabbed a piece of toilet paper to wipe her mouth with.

"Are you ok?" He asked, voice laced with worry. Tobie half smiled.

"Better now." She said flushing the toilet. Zack settled down on the floor next to her.

"I talked to Anna today at Wong Foo's." He started. "She told me about your brother." Tobie sighed.

"Figured she would." Tentatively, he wrapped an arm around her shoulder. A single tear slid down her cheek. "He was the greatest you know. We were 8 years apart, but close none the less. After our parents died, this cousin of ours took us in so we wouldn't end up in the foster system, but he raised me. Always included me in on pretty much everything, and so did his friends. We'd run around the city for hours at a time- just being kids despite the fact we could get our heads blown off at anytime. We played soccer a lot too." She laughed a little. "I remember this one time, they were all teaching me how to kick the soccer ball right, and the ball flew into a shop window. We took off running like mad, shop owner on our tails the whole way. Then, we came to this, this wall- and everyone started going over- then remembered I was still on the other side. So, my brother's friend gives him a boost, and he throws his jacket over the side for me to grab hold of. Pulled me over right as the shop owner caught up with us. The owner, he tried to grab my leg, but ended up with a ratty converse sneaker instead." She said. Laughing, she leaned her head against Zack, who tightened his grip around her shoulder. "When I was told he died, my whole world came crashing down." She said softly. "I walked around in a daze for months, not really knowing which way was up and which way was down." She sighed. "I'm sure Anna told you this, but I tried committing suicide a few times." She admitted. "First, tried hanging myself, but didn't have the guts to. Then, I was going to jump out of the dorm window, but Anna pulled me away from it. I probably wouldn't have jumped anyway- one look out that 5th story window sealed my fear of hights. Third time, I swallowed a whole bottle of aspirin and passed out, well, I thought they were aspirin. Turned out it was children's benadryl. Woke up in the hospital with a tube down my throat. The doctors were laughing, telling me I had the worst suicide attempts they ever heard of." Zack laughed and looked down at her.

"You have no idea how happy I am that you had the worst attempts ever." He said. Tobie laughed a little.

"Yeah, you and me both." They sat there for what seemed like a small eternity- wrapped up in each other and their thoughts. It was at that moment Zack realized he didn't want to lose her, ever. He broke the silence.

"I've decided I'm not going." He said quitely.

"Zack, are you sure?" Tobie asked. "I mean, this would be a monumental thing for you to do-"

"I'll have other opportunities," he said. "I just, I don't want to, well, um,"

"What?" Tobie asked, he was making no sense.

"I...I...I...I...I..."

"You...you...you...you...what?"

"Iloveyou." he said quickly, his words running together. He looked down at the floor. "I mean I know it's only been two weeks, and a part of me is saying it's illogical to actually love someone after only a few days, but the other part of me is beating the shyt out of that part right now, and well, I'm talking really really fast aren't I? I have a tendancy to do that when I get really really nervous and when I'm around you, well, I--" Tobie pressed her lips to his, shutting him up. After a few seconds they pulled apart. Zack turned his head and spit into some toilet paper.

"You have vomit breath." He said looking at her. Tobie's hand flew to her mouth.

"Sorry, about that" She muttered.

"Why were you vomiting anyway?" He asked, worry apparent in his voice again. "Are you sick?"

"Kinda." She said slowly.

"Kinda?" He asked staring at her, "What's wrong?" He asked scooting closer to her.

"Well, I think I have this stomach parisite-"

"Parisite?! You need to go to a doctor then-" Zack said quickly.

"Oh, I already have an appointment."

"Can they get rid of it?" Zack asked.

"Yeah, they can, but a lot of women end up keeping this parisite around. They name them, buy them clothes, set up little play dates with other little parisites-" (A/N: yes, I stole that from House, it's not really mine...)

"What the hell are you talking about?" Zack asked. "Are you sure it's not affecting your brain?" Tobie shook her head.

"Ok- before I explain this to you, you need to sit all the way flat on the ground, and don't run out of here, and don't pass out?" She said quietly.

"What's wrong?" Zack asked. Tobie scooted across the floor and reached into the sink. She pulled out a little baggy with all the EPT tests in it that she was going to show her gyno. She handed the bag to Zack, then braced herself for impact. Zack took the bag, and noticed her eyes were watering up. Curiously, he looked at the little sticks in the ziploc bag. Realization dawned on him when he read Error Proof Test on the sides. He looked at Tobie, eyes wide. She started to cry.

"I'm sorry." She muttered. Zack put the baggie on the floor and wrapped his arms around her. Rocking back and forth he rubbed her back a little.

"Hey, don't be sorry." He said quietly. "After all, it takes 2 sets of chromosomes to make one of these." He stopped. Damn, he knew it was too good to last. "Unless, you...is there...are you?" Tobie smacked him in the arm.

"I'm not cheating on you." She said matter of factly.

"Well, then you have nothing to be sorry for." He said assuringly. "Does anyone else know?" he asked. Tobie wiped her eyes and shook her head.

"No, I wasn't exactly sure when I was going to tell anyone- if I was going to tell them. I mean, I could lose my scholarship for this and I have 8 more months of school left." She said worridly.

"We could work something out with Cam and Dr. Brennan." he offered. "I never set foot on a college campus when I was working with Dr. Brennan, so you should be fine." Tobie's head fell against his chest.

"Have I ever told you how much I love you?" She asked. Zack kissed the top of her head "Things should get pretty interesting around here." She said. She let out a little laugh. "First, Booth and Brennan hook up...then Booth gets full custody of Parker...Brennan's father comes back...she finds out she has a sister and a niece...Hodgins proposes, Angela accepts...I'm more than likely pregnant...what else could possibly happen around here?!" Zack laughed.

"Just about anything with us it seems." He said. Tobie sighed. "Just about anything..."

and there's the end...be looking for the sequel- Just About Anything
