Well, they could just "appear" to be naked, lena. Ya know how Brennan and Sully were in bed together. Well, obviously, they weren't really naked and we didn't see anything, but we saw that Brennan didn't have a shirt on and that was enough for our imaginations. I think they could still do quite a bit with the hypothermic scenario.

Not really---they try to keep it scientific. Current belief is that shivering is the best way to rewarm oneself. And that you can't actually give someone that much heat by body heat as the real issue isn't their skin temperature so as the fact their core temperature becomes lowered.

Hi. Welcome to the aby, Cameomum. I did all of my research on hypothermia before writing this, so I didn't just make it all up. It's all scientifically based. I can give you links, but the best way to rewarm a person who is hypothermic is by transferring body heat. Unless this has changed in the past 10 months.

And Cameo, I'm not really sure what you meant when you said "not really, they try to keep it scientific." Were you responding to something one of us said?

There is only *1* site I have found that says one should NOT lie naked inside a sleeping bag with the hypothermia victim and it is here:

Every single other source says that body heat is the best rewarming technique and that a sleeping bag is one of the best ways to do this, especially when you don't have any other resources.

I was just commenting on it occuring on the show and they probably wouldn't show it. As for what I said, I was just going on the information of the physician who taught my First Aid for the Professional Rescuer class told us. However, you have a well written story and so for what I know, I was quite willing to suspend disbelief. You have good characterizations and move the plot along well--all that any story could ask for. Sorry if my reply seemed like a personal criticism.

Oh no, I didn't think it was a personal criticism. I was just a little thrown 'cuz I had done all this research. I guess I just felt like I had to "prove" myself or something. Suppose that's the competitive part of me jumping out. I guess it's also because this is my favorite story of my own. But I didn't mean to jump on ya about it. Glad you liked reading it! And once again, welcome to the aby!
