I sort of agree with what cup said in that I really didn't like the ending either. It wasn't so much the Max-being-let-go part that I had a problem with, but the fact that it was over SO quickly after Booth took the stand.

It could be because the same "but she could've done it!" ploy was used (to better effect) on Boston Legal last year, but I was waiting for someone to contest the theory, or for Caroline to call bullshit and point out that it was just a defence tactic. So to go from Booth on the stand to the verdict suddenly being announced and getting a happy(ish) ending took me by surprise and left me kinda cold. Yeah, the acting was good on all parts, and the BBness was great, but the ending did nothing for me.

*sighs* The one time I dislike an episode and everyone else loves it... I need better judgement.

*leaves minus 2 cents*

thank you bertie.....now that makes two of us......

Lol. Seriously, I'm normally so easily pleased by anything Bones, and then I actively dislike an ep everyone seems to love. *hugs you and is glad I'm not alone*

*hugs Lety* Yay that we're less alone... I didn't dislike the rest of it, but the ending didn't work for me. *shrugs*

FOUR! I did not like the end at all.... I liked the acting and how the filmed the epi, the back-flashes, everything..... BUT: Max Keenan should not have come free just like that. I mean, the trial itself was only about Kirby, that's right, but there have to be other charges against him, right? Like the old bank-robbing thingies? The other man he murdered? And so on.... so, the verdict may be that he is not found guilty of killing Kirby, but that does not mean they just let him go like that. IMO.

That's my thinking Cheese - Brennan really shouldn't be getting all attached to the idea of her dad being home. And if the powers that be are smart they will have Booth's put him away for good for the other murder(s) and bank robberies. I really can't see Booth being a part of Brennan's life (more than work partners and friends) if Max Keenan is a free man.

I would expect for the robberies to be time barred by now. But there is no prescrïption for murder. I would think they had even less evidence for the other murder or both killings had been up for trial?
